• They made up that story. 그들이 그 얘기를 지어냈다.

• I was late, but I made up for it by working hard. 지각했지만 열심히 하는 걸로 보상했다.

• Don't disturb me when I'm watching football. 풋볼 시청할 때 부디 방해 좀 마.
• I can't concentrate at home because my little brother is always bothering me. 동생이 항상 귀찮게 하기 때문에 집에서는 집중이 안된다.
• Messages are such a distraction when I'm trying to study. 공부할 때 메시지 오면 엄청 산만해진다.

• picnic : 음식을 가지고 나갈 때만. 아니면 stroll
• There were many people picnicking in the park. 공원에 소풍 온 사람들이 많았다.
• I got busted for jaywalking. 무단횡단 하다 걸렸다.
• Flowers are blooming all across the country. 전국적으로 꽃이 피고 있다.

• Wow. You really look worn out. 헐. 니 완전 쩔어(피곤해)보여.
• She looks a lot like my friend. 내 친구랑 너무 닮았어.
